Dr. Ronald Fauer completed his undergraduate degree at Franklin and Marshall College and his medical degree at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. After a surgery internship at the University of Southern California Medical Center, he served as surgeon for the U.S. Public Health Service. He then completed his surgery residency at Harbor General Hospital (USCL affiliated) and his urology residency at the University of Southern California Medical Center. He was the Immediate Past Chief of Urology at Broward General Medical Center.
In 2008, Dr. Fauer, along with Dr. Yogel, was voted into Florida's Super Doctors. Dr. Fauer is a member of the American Medical Association and the Florida Urological Association. He is also certified by the American Board of Urology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Fauer is a former chief of the medical staff at Broward General Medical Center, as well as a former chairman of the surgical quality management committee—a position he held for ten years. He is a frequent lecturer on health issues concerning men, and has appeared on TV programs such as NOVA Southeastern's Dateline Health to discuss urological issues facing men and women. Dr. Fauer has been practicing urology for over 25 years.
Dr. Louis Yogel earned his undergraduate degree at Temple University and his medical degree at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Mexico, and Rutgers Medical School in Newark, NJ. He completed his general surgery residency at the Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ, and his urology residency at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque.
In 2008, Dr. Yogel, along with Dr. Fauer, was voted into Florida's Super Doctors. Dr. Yogel is certified by the American Board of Urology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Urological Association, the American Medical Association, and the Florida Urological Association. Dr. Yogel currently serves as Medical Staff Secretary-Treasurer for the Broward General Medical Center. He recently stepped down as chairman of Broward General's surgical quality management committee after ten years. He has been practicing urology for over 20 years.
Dr. Eric Chenven graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in biology from Brandeis University in Waltham, MA. He completed his medical degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and served his surgery and urology residencies at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ.
Dr. Chenven completed a fellowship in Endourology/Laparoscopy at the Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. He was awarded the Pfizer Scholar in Urology and the Gerald P. Murphy Scholar awards in his final year of residency. Recent research interests have included laparoscopic surgery, upper tract kidney tumors, PSA testing, kidney stones, and vasectomy.
He is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a member of the American Urological Association, American College of Surgeons, Endourology Society, and the American Medical Association. He sits on the Cancer Committee and the Surgical Quality Assurance Committee at Broward General Medical Center (BGMC), where he was formally also Medical Director for Laparoscopic and Minimally-Invasive Urologic Surgery.
Dr. Chenven joined the practice in 2003 as the first new urologist to come to Fort Lauderdale in over ten years. He has been in commercials for one of the local cancer centers and on TV programs, such as NOVA Southeastern's Dateline Health, to discuss minimally invasive surgery and urological issues facing men and women. He specializes in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic urologic surgery and endourology.
